VNN stands for Vought News Network, a fictitious in-universe news network similar to Fox News or CNN for The Boys. To preview impending storylines in the program’s third season, this fake news station has begun releasing snippets in the form of news reports. Holden’s hint makes it apparent that her Crimson Countess persona will be included in the next VNN update this weekend. For the time being, the first look shot does give us a decent look at Holden in the part, and she looks fantastic.
Jensen Ackles, from Supernatural, will join The Boys in Season 3 as Soldier Boy, Vought’s first superhero. Soldier Boy has been around for decades in this realm, viewed by the populace as the “John Wayne” of superheroes, while having the young look of Ackles due to the compound V in his body. A picture of Ackles dressed as Soldier Boy was previously shared by the program.
Miles Gaston Villanueva, Sean Patrick Flanery, and Nick Wechsler are among the additions to The Boys for season 3, playing Supersonic, Gunpowder, and Blue Hawk, respectively. The cast has also been expanded to include Frances Turner, Kristin Booth, and Jack Doolan. They’ll be joining Antony Starr (Homelander), Erin Moriarty (Starlight), Dominique McElligott (Queen Maeve), Nathan Mitchell (Black Noir), Jessie T. Usher (A-Train), and Chace Crawford, among the show’s existing Supe actors (The Deep).
Billy Butcher and the “Boys” are also expected to return. Karl Urban reprises his role as Hughie Campbell, with Jack Quaid (Mother’s Milk), Laz Alonso (Mother’s Milk), Tomer Capon (Frenchie), and Karen Fukuhara (Kimiko). Colby Minifie will also return as Ashley, although it’s uncertain if Aya Cash will return as Stormfront or in what condition she will be in after what occurred in season 2.
The Boys season 3 has yet to be given a release date. The show is presently in post-production after completing shooting, so we’re hoping for a release date or possibly some sneak peek video soon. For the time being, viewers may watch the first two seasons of the show on Prime Video. The official Twitter account for The Boys has released the first look at Laurie Holden in her role as Crimson Countess in The Boys.
